School Council Raise Money For Sport Relief

School Council Raise Money For Sport Relief
Jul 9, 2012

School council met to organise events to raise money for Sports Relief. In the meeting they agreed on presenting assemblies to raise awareness of the Sports relief cause and to advertise the school fundraising event. The children decided on completing the Sainsbury Mile as our whole school event. In small teams they made posters and produced flyers to invite parents to join in with the events. Balloons were distributed in classes and each class were invited to make banners and posters to promote the cause and to wear red and white. On Friday 23rd March all the children and their parents turned up in fancy dress, laden with balloons and banners, and completed the Sainsbury mile walk around Saltwell Park. The event was very well attended and a total of £1418 was raised.
